Contexter Terms of Service

1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Contexter is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Maksim Shirokov (Georgia), operating as Contexter, at 4a Tamarashvili Street, Tbilisi, Georgia. In these Terms, “Contexter”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Individual Entrepreneur Maksim Shirokov operating as Contexter.
Contexter is a workspace for personal and shared project contexts. It is available through:
- the
@ai_contexter_botTelegram bot; - ChatGPT and Claude connectors through an MCP server; and
- the web workspace at contexterai.com.
These Terms form an agreement between you and Contexter and govern your access to and use of the Service.
Our Privacy Policy, effective 31 July 2026, explains how we process personal data. Please read it together with these Terms.
By accessing or using Contexter, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and early access
You must be at least 18 years old to use Contexter.
The Service is currently in early access. Access is granted automatically when you first start the Telegram bot; we may withdraw it at any time.
Early-access features may be incomplete, change over time or be removed. We may limit access, usage or availability while we test, improve and secure the Service.
You may use Contexter only where doing so is lawful. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation.
3. Your account and connected surfaces
Your access may be connected to your Telegram, ChatGPT, Claude or web workspace account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your connected accounts and for keeping access links, credentials and tokens secure.
Do not share access in a way that allows another person to impersonate you or use an invitation intended for someone else. Contact us promptly at privacy@contexterai.com if you believe your access has been compromised.
3.1 Explicit saving
Nothing is imported automatically from your AI chats.
Saving to Contexter is always an explicit action taken by you or by an AI assistant acting on your request. You choose what is saved and, through the selected context and its audience, who can see it.
Connecting ChatGPT, Claude or another supported surface does not give Contexter permission to import your existing chat history.
3.2 Telegram capture
In a private Telegram chat, messages can be captured only after you activate the bot.
In a Telegram group, capture can begin only after the group has been explicitly activated. Each member must also opt in separately before that member’s messages can be captured.
Activating the bot or opting in does not import earlier AI chat histories.
3.3 Files
Files sent to the bot may be stored as part of the Service. They are served back only to authorised users through links that expire.
You remain responsible for choosing which files to send and ensuring that you have the right to store and share them.
4. Your content and the licence you give us
“Your content” means records, messages, files and other material that you choose to save, submit or contribute through Contexter.
You keep your ownership rights in your content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to save and share your content. You must not submit content if doing so would violate the law, another person’s rights or an obligation of confidentiality.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to:
- operate, maintain and secure Contexter;
- carry out your instructions;
- make content available to the audience you selected; and
- use service providers acting on our behalf to provide the Service.
This licence lasts only for as long as the content is held by the Service, including any deletion and retention periods described in the Privacy Policy.
Except for your content and content belonging to other users, the Service, its software, design and branding are owned by or licensed to us. We give you a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms for as long as you have access.
5. Shared contexts
A record placed in a shared context is visible to the entire audience of that context. Check the context and its audience before saving or sharing a record.
The context owner manages access to the shared context and may grant or revoke access. Revoking access prevents the affected person from continuing to access the context through Contexter.
Contributions made by members remain attributed to their authors. Contributing to a shared context does not transfer ownership of the contribution to the context owner or to Contexter.
Depending on the context’s settings, writing into a shared context may require an explicit confirmation that shows the audience. By default, the response to a write action names who will be able to see the record.
Removing a record from a context does not delete that record from its owner’s record pool. Deletion is a separate action.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use Contexter to:
- create, store, share or facilitate unlawful content or conduct;
- infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality or other rights;
- access or attempt to access another user’s content, account or data without permission;
- probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- disrupt, damage, overload or interfere with the Service or its users;
- introduce malware, harmful code or deceptive instructions;
- bypass or attempt to bypass security controls, access restrictions or rate limits; or
- help another person do any of these things.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated. We may also remove or restrict content where reasonably necessary to protect users, operate the Service, comply with law or enforce these Terms.
Any personal data associated with a suspension, termination or restriction will be handled according to the Privacy Policy.
7. AI-generated content
AI assistants may generate replies, summaries, suggestions or other content while interacting with Contexter. Those outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading or unsuitable for your situation.
AI-generated content is not professional, legal, medical or financial advice. You should verify important information and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.
You are responsible for the instructions you give to AI assistants, the content you ask them to save and how you use or rely on their outputs.
Contexter does not guarantee that an AI assistant will interpret your request correctly or save the content you intended. Review important records and their audience after saving them.
8. Third-party services
Contexter can be accessed through services operated by third parties, including Telegram, OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude.
Those services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, account rules and technical limitations. Your use of them is part of your separate relationship with the relevant provider.
We do not control those services and cannot guarantee their availability, security, functionality or continued compatibility with Contexter. Changes, outages, restrictions or account actions by a third-party provider may affect your ability to use Contexter through that provider.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or services of those third-party providers.
9. Fees
Contexter is currently free of charge.
We may introduce paid plans or paid features in the future. If we do, we will provide notice before charges apply and explain the applicable price and payment terms.
We will not charge you for a paid plan without first presenting the relevant terms and obtaining any agreement or action required by law.
10. Termination and deletion
You may stop using Contexter at any time. You may also request deletion of your account through the bot or by contacting privacy@contexterai.com.
User-initiated deletion is reversible for seven days. After that period, the deleted data is purged in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
Removing a record from a context does not delete it from the record owner’s pool. If you want the underlying record deleted, you must use the relevant deletion action.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. We may also suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the Service or its users, address a security issue or comply with law.
When access ends, personal data and content will be handled according to the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature need to continue after termination—including provisions on ownership, disclaimers, liability and disputes—will remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers
Contexter is early-access software. It is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the Service will:
- always be available, uninterrupted or error-free;
- meet every need or use case;
- preserve every record without loss;
- remain compatible with every third-party service; or
- be free from delays, defects or technical failures.
You should keep separate copies of content that is important to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, Contexter. This includes loss of profits, business, opportunity, goodwill or data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid for the Service during the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. Because the Service is currently free, that amount is currently zero.
These limitations apply regardless of the legal basis of the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service develops or where changes are needed for legal, security or operational reasons.
We will announce material changes on the Contexter website and/or through the bot and provide a reasonable notice period before they take effect.
The updated Terms will state their effective date. If you continue using Contexter after that date, you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the Service. You may request account deletion at any time.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia.
Disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service will be submitted to the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.
If mandatory consumer law in your place of residence gives you rights that cannot be changed by these Terms, those rights continue to apply. This includes any mandatory right to bring a claim in another court or under another applicable law.
