Shared by choice, not by default.

AI chats stay private. Every contribution is explicit, every shared context has a visible audience, and every record keeps its origin.

The defaults

What the rules are

  • Nothing is imported automatically. Connecting an AI does not hand over your chat history. A record appears only when you send something to the bot or explicitly ask your AI to save it.
  • Every shared context has a visible audience. Everyone who can read it is listed right on it, and anything that widens that audience waits for your yes.
  • Every record keeps its origin. Who added it, where from, when.
  • Deletion is deliberate — and reversible for 7 days. It works from every entrance, and “undo my last deletion” works too.
  • Invitations go person to person. Sharing sends a card to your own Telegram; the other person sees what the context is before joining, and joins only by pressing the button themselves.

Good to know

Things assistants do that are not us

  • The assistant says it cannot save? Almost always it is the app mode, not the connection: in ChatGPT, saving works in the working mode. Or save the same thing from Claude.
  • A new ability does not show up? Assistants read the tool list once, when they connect. Reconnect and start a new chat.
  • Something stopped working? Reconnect first — it re-runs sign-in and rebuilds the link. It clears most stale states.
  • Deleted a Telegram message? That is not deletion from Contexter — here it is deliberate, and reversible for 7 days.
